Mūn App
Breaking Gender Boundaries in Period Tracking
In a world where millions of individuals menstruate, we believe that period tracking should be inclusive, respecting all gender identities – from cis women to non-binary, trans, and intersex individuals. Traditional period apps often reinforce gender stereotypes with their pink hues and feminine language, excluding a significant portion of the population. As UX designers, we're here to bridge the gap.
Why Mūn?
Mūn aims to create an all-inclusive app that welcomes everyone who menstruates, providing a secure space to track, share concerns, and safeguard your data.
The Goal
Design Philosophy
Mūn was designed around one core truth: not everyone experiences their body the way most apps assume they do. Period tracking shouldn’t come wrapped in pink, binary language, or gendered assumptions. My philosophy was to create a space that felt calm, neutral, and affirming, a tool that adapts to the user, not the other way around. I approached every design decision with empathy, simplicity, and inclusion, building an experience that respects how people live, not just how they cycle.
